I am a news junkie and admittedly if I had cable plus the extra TV I would probably have either CNN or CBC Newsworld on the whole time I’m in my room I jokingly call my office. A cold front that killed thousands of livestock swept through northwest China, bringing sandstorms, snow and bitter cold to the region. The Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region experienced Siberian-like temperatures of at least 70 below zero, though forecasts predicated a warming trend, China's official Xinhua news agency reported Tuesday.

It's hard to imagine anyone who hasn't heard of The Onion, the venerable spoof site that parodies newspapers and other print media. But for the past year or so, the same folks who do the Onion print products and Web site have been cranking out the fake Onion News Network to do the same thing for TV journalism.
